I honestly didn't expect my drawing skills to improve so quickly.

Anyway, I'm starting to miss the good 'ol stick figures. :(Anonymous15 months ago#1859reply

OverCodeAssuming you were asking what my company (OverCode) writes in the way of software ~~ Pretty much everything. =P We have 4 big projects rolling right now, only 2 of which I really care about at the moment. ^.^ I'll do my best to avoid salespitching X| Feel free to delete (or eat) it if i failed at avoiding that. xD

OmniScreen Suite
"The Future of User Interface"
The OmniScreen is a suite of 3 separate products, each changing the way you interact with your computer in a different field. The first, the OmniTouch, converts any flat surface into a multipoint touch screen (think being able to turn your wall, table, or even computer monitor into a gigantic iPod Touch). It supports either the Input Wand (a touchpen-like contraption) or the Pointer Extension (which lets you use your fingers to interact). They will let you do anything a normal mouse can do. We'll be releasing these sometime next month or early the month following. I'm actually using the 2nd to final prototype right now instead of a mouse. ^.^
-----
The second, the OmniReal, is hopefully going to mark the comeback of 3D. It uses some pretty fancy math to figure out exactly where your head is, and adjust your entire screen to match your head position, with the proper 3D perspective applied. It creates a sort of Virtual Fishtank, where your screen looks exactly like a window. We're working on an algorithm that'll let us give the illusion of things exiting the screen to some significant extent as well. As with all Fishtank VR, the bigger the screen, the better it works. We'll be releasing this later down the road, complete with a window and desktop manager that'll let you make your desktop 3D. We've got an early prototype of this running to.
---
Finally, the OmniAir basically extends the OmniTouch and the OmniReal... to your couch or wherever you feel like being. It lets you simulate a touch screen in midair (sort of like in Minority Report), so it just recognizes your hand gestures for everything. We'll be building the first prototype of it this week.
---
At any rate, the real selling point of the equipment is the pricing. I found a way to sell each kit individually for only $20 dollars, and still make a decent profit. I have videos of the prototypes for the OmniTouch and the OmniReal in action, if you're bored.

WarpGate
"Enter the Internet"
WarpGate is my solution to the cruddy mobile phone browsers currently available. I've been spoiled with tabbed browsing. When I found out my otherwise beautiful Samsung Instinct didnt have a browser capable of tabbed browsing, and that the multi-platform browsers available didn't support tabs either, i decided to find a cross-platform solution. Basically, you point whatever browser your phone has to the WarpGate page, and WarpGate takes over all browsing function from there. It supports tabs, a nice big favorites page, etc. etc. If you're really interested in what we've got, lemme know and i'll email you my email. ^.^
Hmm, shit that still seems sort of salesmany... oh well, im too bloody tired to try to rewrite it... =P

relationshapes?how sad, the idea of these "relationshapes" sounded funny. but really, they could just as well have left the drawings away (so that only some unfunny text would remain).
this somersault comic, however, shows that the concept actually had some potential for funnyness. although i'm still wondering if i missed some pun in the 2nd panel %-)Anonymous15 months ago#1877reply

PunIf a circle did a somersault, he would roll over one time, and the distance he would cover would be equal to Pi.

So, yeah, he really would have to "pi" hard enough. BTW, I'm piing so hard right now!Anonymous15 months ago#1878reply

Humm...Ever read Flatland? I had a bit of a flashback. All those shapes are mind boggling.Anonymous15 months ago#1881reply
In reply to Anonymous, comment #1878:
i see. i assume circles to have a radius of 1, so piing once would leave it standing on its head. being a circle, it would probably not care, but it wouldn't be a somersault then.Anonymous15 months ago#1882reply
