The Best Use For A MacOkay, that's genius. I really have to buy my parents a Mac. :DDylan11 months ago#1193reply
Correct me if I'm wrong but for some reason this scenario seems reminiscent of your current situation....? Are you writing from experience here Fro?Teazer11 months ago#1195reply
Hey, you know the mighty mouse also has 2 button click? In fact it has a button on the side of the mouse...way to go you have just utterly confused Grandma. :/Nathan11 months ago#1196reply
I take it your grandma doesn't read the strip...can't say I blame her :) jk Fro the comic kicks ass! Dear readers, would you agree it's about time for some merchandise?Teazer11 months ago#1197reply

In reply to Teazer, comment #1197:
Merchandise? Why, when the donation model is working so well?
I crunched the numbers. For ever 450,000 visitors, one person donates. That means I only need 22 million visitors per month to cover my bandwidth and 90 million visitors per month to cover my bills.
And it only makes sense that a webcomic artist should have to draw 112 million unique visitors per month to support himself. After all, would a mere 100 million people have enough money to support 1 webcomic artist. I think not!
So no - no need for merch.swb11 months ago#1198reply

The Customer is not always rightheh, this reminds me of a quote from here (can't find the link though :( )Alyx11 months ago#1595reply
Hilarious.Yeah, you could say that a mac mouse has two buttons, but that wouldn't be quite correct. It only has one button, but you can press it in several areas. Since grandma only wants to click with her index finger, though, she should safely assume one button. Trust me, it works.
I couldn't stop laughing for several minutes there, thanks for almost killing me! heh. So that is why mac charges 1k bucks a piece, because it solves grandma's problem...acce2459 months ago#2047reply

Yeah, I've seen a few jokes involving Mac's inability to right click. They can. They can. They can. They. Can.Anonymous6 months ago#2374reply

In reply to Anonymous, comment #2374:
The point is not the inability to right click. The point is that Mac are made in a dumb enough way that even Grandma can use them. Of course, that spoils all the fun into using a computer but... Anonymous5 months ago#2393reply
actually, that is the real reason macs didn't come with two button mice by default.
Unfortunately, now that macs come with stupid "mighty mice," Grandma can ask whether she should right-click or not, but it won't change the fact that when she clicks, she'll get a random result.
I have a work-supplied mighty mouse. It right-clicks when I left-click and it left-clicks when I right-click at random! I hate it.
P.S. You can just buy any two button mouse and hook it to a mac, same as any PC. The OS has supported right-click for as long as I've used computers- mac system 7 (the mac OS during the era of DOS 6)clay2 months ago#2728reply
